An F-14 with anything other than four Phoenixes under its belly just looks wrong to me.

In my mind, it's always the 'rounded' compliment. Four Phoenix, two Sparrows and two Sidewinders.

That is definitely the classic F-14 loadout. The 6 Phoenix picture was the first good pic that showed up so that's why I posted it.

Yes. It's the same with missiles too. A blue band means inert, yellow means live.
